(More customer reviews)Reading on my new Kindle is a thrill. Reading this book was not. A long-time fan of Hannah's, this outing was a disappointment to say the least. An occasional recipe is fun, a book full is a cookbook, not a mystery. The plot had promise, the premise was good, but the word that springs to mind is lack-luster. And the number one, topmost ANNOYING thing, is the ending that doesn't end. A sales ploy for the next book? Come on, Joanne, I hope this is a Fluke and not an omen for books to come.
Grandma Knudson would have enjoyed a little more depth, and Delores deserves far more details concerning her venture into undercover work. And as for Norman and Mike, bor-ing for Mike, and SO out of charactor for Norman!!!
Too many names of too many 'friends' whose recipes are included add to the dreary read. 'of all sad words of tongue or pen, the saddest are these'.....it could have been a good book!
