(More customer reviews)This book offers plenty of recipes; but for me, it was more about inspiring readers to be creative and inventive in the kitchen. The recipes are based on a philosophy of using locally grown, organic and unprocessed foods. But unlike many other cookbooks I've encountered, this one is not designed to make you feel guilty or inferior. Rather than being preachy, this book is delightful and entertaining, written by a real person with a real family and real food challenges. It's like reading an email from your best friend. Even if you never cook, it's worth much more than $3 just for the pleasure of reading it.
