Do you need a recipe for pancakes that is the standard gluten pancake recipe with gluten free flour substituted in? Then this might be the book for you. This could have been a good book for people with little to no cooking knowledge, but there are editing errors that would confuse that audience, for instance, the sudden appearance of caster sugar in recipe instructions with there is no mention of caster sugar in the ingredient list. (What? You don't know what caster sugar is? That's because there no such thing in the US. Someone edited the ingredient list for the US, but not the recipe body.)
To its credit, the recipes presented in this book much healthier than many of the recipes you'd find in old gluten free cookbooks. And if you are recently diagnosed, the table of contents might give you some ideas on what you could eat.
Also, just in case you are avoiding dairy too, you should know that about half of the recipes contain dairy.
