(More customer reviews)This cookbook assumes you're cooking for 2 people, not a whole family, which is a rare and helpful treat. As with most Betty Crockers, it starts with the basics, and does not assume the cook knows esoteric cooking terms, basic cooking times, etc. Recipes are easy, clear, involve basic ingredients, and most have been real hits in my household. It's a marvelous choice for a beginning cook (male or female), especially someone who'll be cooking only for 1 or 2 people.
The downside is that Betty Crocker recipes can be on the bland side. Many dishes in here are really basic. I've pencilled in my personal adjustments, spicing things up here and there.
