If You Give a Pig a Pancake Big Book Review

If You Give a Pig a Pancake Big Book
Average Reviews:

This book makes me laugh-out-loud; it is so adorable and cute!
"If You Give A Pig A Pancake" helps the child see what we as adults go through running after her giving in to her little whims and idiosyncrasies!Let's hope as she gets older she will understand what this book is trying to say:
1) Appreciate and be thankful for your parent(s).
2) Don't take life too seriously.
3) Live life to the fullest and have fun!
4) Be your own person.
5) You never have to grow up.
6) Don't worry about trivial matters; just say "oh, go have a pancake!"
7) Help others; what you give has a way of coming back to you-- DOUBLE.
This is a great book for all ages; it is the female version of "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie." I highly recommend both books; great illustrations and short easy-to-read stories.
Your child will be reading in no time if you read fun books like this to her, and simultaneously you'll be laughing as well!
GO BUY THIS BOOK!

Clinton St. Baking Company Cookbook: Breakfast, Brunch & Beyond from New York's Favorite Neighborhood Restaurant Review

Clinton St. Baking Company Cookbook: Breakfast, Brunch and Beyond from New York's Favorite Neighborhood Restaurant

See those pancakes on the cover? I made those! They turned out just as beautifully. A word of warning though, I would cut this recipe in half unless you have a football team lurking around. I used all of the batter and froze the remaining pancakes. One minute in the microwave and they tasted almost better than the fresh made ones. I have read about other cooks doing this with pancakes, but never tried it myself. I put them in zip lock bags with wax paper in between. Now whenever I want pancakes, I just put a couple in the microwave for about 45 seconds. My son is still talking about how good the maple butter was and it was quite simple to make. I also put aside some of that in the refrigerator for use later.
The recipes are all really good and I am working my way through the book. I found that they were quite easy to follow. All of the direction are clear and concise. The ingredients are easy to find, so no worries there like some other cookbooks. This is definitely a keeper for me.

1001 Muffins, Biscuits, Doughnuts, Pancakes, Waffles, Popovers, Fritters, Scones and Other Quick Breads Review

1001 Muffins, Biscuits, Doughnuts, Pancakes, Waffles, Popovers, Fritters, Scones and Other Quick Breads
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have many cookbooks, but this is by far the most well done cookbook I've seen in years (no pun intended.) This large book contains recipes and a substitution chart--not detailed chapters on how to bake quick breads, etc.
Over 494 color pages of recipes for quick breads grace this book. There are a staggering 273 pages for muffin recipes alone; two recipes per page. The remainder of the book contains various recipes for biscuits, doughnuts, pancakes, waffles, popovers, fritters, scones, and other quick breads.
Each recipe is accompanied by a full color picture of the final product and well-written steps. Also included in this book are recipes for sauces and spreads to accompany the muffins. It's almost worth buying the book just for these additional recipes.
There arn't any funky ingredients. Most are common ingredients normally found in a well-stocked kitchen.
Buy one of these books for a baker friend, she/he will appreciate the gift and never need another quick bread recipe book again.
Awesome book! :)

Pamela's all purpose mix is exactly what the gluten free folk out there need. It's like using regular white flour in almost everything. Every time I make a cookie, muffin, pancake, baked good, white sauce, etc it always turns out amazing! I have been using this product for at least 16 years. I only went gluten free about 2 years ago, but I used Pamela's products before going GF because I liked the taste of them!

Moist Lemon Cake Mix, Gluten Free Review

Moist Lemon Cake Mix, Gluten Free
Average Reviews:

I've tried a few gluten free cake mixes and most weren't that great. They were too dense, or they were only good for an hour or so while they were fresh, but this cake mix is wonderful. The cupcakes I made were tasty, light and fluffy, and they stayed good for days. This is just as good as any gluten-ized cake mix. My friends couldn't even tell the difference. I highly recommend it to anyone struggling to find a tasty GF cake.

Pamela's Ultimate Baking and Pancake Mix, 4-Pound Bags (Pack of 3) Review

Pamela's Ultimate Baking and Pancake Mix, 4-Pound Bags (Pack of 3)
Average Reviews:

My daughter has celiac (a complete inability to eat any wheat, rye, barley, and in her case oatmeal, or any of their starches or glutens). Pamela's baking and pancake mix is a real heaven-sent product. It tastes good! Unlike some other baking mixes I have tried. It is easy to alter "normal" recipes using Pamela's mix to have great tasting baked products. The bag has good recipes and Pamela's products website has additional ones. I would recommend this product to anyone, especially those who don't want to take the time to mix their own grains or want to keep it on hand for when celiac family or friends come to visit and you would like to provide a delicious, easy to make treat.

I was pretty impressed by this pancake mix. I'm always looking for high fiber products and some don't seem to taste as good as I would hope. This mix on the other hand, was great. The pancakes turned out nice and fluffy. I'd definitely buy it again.
